CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025 Online Registration and Application Guide

The CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025 Online Registration process was recently closed, and the last date to apply was March 18, 2025. This program was introduced to provide free laptops to eligible students studying in public sector universities and colleges. As someone who has gone through a similar process before, I understand how exciting such schemes can be, especially for BS (1st & 2nd semester) students in HED Colleges, Medical and Dental institutions. The initiative is backed by the Chief Minister’s Laptop Program, aiming to give 110,000 learners access to cutting-edge tech like Core i7, 13th Gen devices. This step not only encourages learning but also helps students connect with the modern digital world.

For those interested, the registration was done through the official portal at cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk. Students had to meet specific academic performance requirements, have domicile from Punjab, and should not be a previous laptop recipient. The status of the scheme now shows Registration Closed, and if any student has questions, they can still reach out to their respective university focal person for help. I personally recommend keeping an eye on official updates for future opportunities like this. Such schemes show the government’s strong commitment to education and innovation in Pakistan.

maryam nawaz laptop scheme Important Dates

As a student from Punjab, I’ve personally seen how powerful initiatives like the Chief Minister Laptop Scheme 2025 can be. This year, the government has decided to distribute 110,000 free laptops to deserving and talented students enrolled in public institutions, including those from minority backgrounds and South Punjab. With Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif leading the way, this scheme—once started by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif—has returned stronger, aiming to empower youth through technology. These high-tech devices come with 13th Generation Core i7 processors, a major benefit for BS students and those studying at the intermediate or university level.

To apply online, students must have domicile in any district of Punjab and be enrolled in BS programs (either 1st or 2nd semester) in public colleges or universities with at least 65% marks in their intermediate results. Medical and Dental college students must be in their 1st professional year (session 2024) with 80% marks. Students in technical or agricultural colleges also qualify. But those who have already received a laptop from any past government scheme are not eligible this time. With a 32% quota for South Punjab and 2,000 laptops reserved for minority students, this scheme is a real chance to move forward.
